This program is done 4 days a week for an hour over a 4 week period of time. Lee Silverman developed the program with remarkable results to date. The exaggerated movements of this program increase dopamine production and recalibrate muscle function. It helps to counteract the bradykinesia so often involved with Parkinson’s disease. This program is said to help improve motor function of those with stroke, MS, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. The sooner BIG/LOUD is introduced the better rather than waiting for loss of function to become more pronounced.
